A husband and father of four from Littleton, Colorado, Tim has learned that resilience comes from balancing caution with the freedom to grow. “Growing up with a bleeding disorder has significantly influenced being a parent and being a father. You’re always going to have to balance the risk factors on one side with letting a child be a child.” For the past several years, Tim has supported participants at CSL’s Junior National Championship, where he shares his passion for swimming with young people in the bleeding disorder community. The experience has reinforced the importance of connection, confidence, and creating opportunities for children to thrive. “It’s amazing to see the kids get so excited about the sports, be around their peers who have a bleeding disorder, and to see their parents be out there as well.” Looking back, Tim believes that continued innovation in haemophilia treatments is changing not only individual lives but also the future of families living with bleeding disorders. “Keep going. Keep innovating, keep pursuing excellence, and know you’re making a huge multi-generational impact in people’s lives.” This perspective reflects the lasting impact that biotech advances in care can have – empowering people with bleeding disorders to pursue their goals, support their families, and help the next generation reach their full potential.
