8.3 Non-Executive Share Purchases During 2020, CSL completed two on-market purchases of shares for the purposes of the NED Rights Plan. A total of 1,920 shares were purchased during the reporting period and the average price paid per share was A$278.31. 8.4 Non-Executive Director Statutory Remuneration Tables Remuneration is reported in US Dollars, unless otherwise stated. This is consistent with the presentation currency used by CSL. For the 2020 compensation, this has been converted to USD at an average exchange rate for the 2020 financial year: AUD – 1.48735. Both the amount of remuneration and any movement in comparison to prior years may be influenced by changes in the AUD/USD exchange rates. 31 As disclosed in the section titled ‘Non-Executive Director Remuneration’, NEDs participate in the NED Rights Plan under which NEDs are required to take at least 20% of their after-tax base fees (excluding superannuation guarantee contributions) in the form of Rights. Rights are granted upfront and are expensed over the period of grant to vest. The Fair Value per Right at the grant date of 22 August 2019 was A$229.22 for Tranche 1 and A$227.92 for Tranche 2.
